Training Philosophy At Green Flight Academy, we be Training Philosophy At Green Flight Academy, we believe in a truly integrated approach to pilot training, where theory and flight training develop together from day one. Students begin with basic theory and VFR flying, allowing them to immediately connect classroom knowledge with practical experience. As training progresses, the balance between theory and flying changes with the seasons.Summer is focused on flying, taking advantage of Skellefteå’s long daylight hours and favourable conditions. Students develop their practical skills through solo flying, cross-country navigation, VFR operations and Advanced UPRT.During autumn and winter, the focus shifts towards intensive theory, complemented by night flying and experience in real Nordic winter conditions.This seasonal structure creates a natural progression throughout the programme, combining academic knowledge, practical skills and real-world operational experience. Our goal is to develop confident, adaptable and professional pilots, prepared for a career in commercial aviation.

Our students start their flight training early in Our students start their flight training early in the training, on the Pipistrel Velis Electro, giving them the opportunity to connect the theory they learn with the fundamentals of flying from the very beginning. ✈️⚡️ Since introducing electric aircraft into our training, we have completed more than 10,000 flight movements with electric aircraft — an important milestone that demonstrates our commitment to more sustainable flight training. 🌱After building their foundation on the electric Velis Electro, our students progress to our Tecnam P2010 TDI and DA42 — as they continue developing their skills and knowledge.And on Monday, we’re excited to welcome our new class of both international and Swedish students!
